WELCOME THE CRANDALLS TO OUR AMBASSADOR TEAM!

We are so excited to welcome the Crandall family to the Boreas Campers ambassador team! Franklin, Lauren and their two daughters Ella and Lucy have been on some serious adventures all over the American West the last 2 years in their XT. Planning and organizing these trips with a family (and oftentimes, a couple other families!) as well as they do is a special skill. So if you're looking for adventure inspiration and the tools to be prepared this team can show you the way.

Occupation: We are both nurses

Adventure Partners: We do everything from solo trips to big group trips but most often we team up with the Rothman family (@docnmartyoverland) and the Zolyaks (@banthaoverland). We’ve done some great trips together. 

Tow vehicle: 2018 Ford F-150 

Favorite XT feature: This is a tie between the kitchen and the storage. The kitchen makes cooking meals easy and enjoyable. We like to eat well when we camp and we’ve made everything from hotdogs to scallop risotto while in the middle of nowhere. The next thing is the storage. The biggest reason we use our trailer as much as we do is that everything stays stowed and ready for the next adventure. When the mood strikes us we can grab some clean clothes, load the fridge and hit the road. 

Favorite trip in the XT: This is a tough one! There have been so many good ones. Probably our favorite is a nine day trip we did in Southern Utah in the spring of 2021. We explored all over Grand Staircase-Escalanteand Bears Ears National Monuments, and camped in some legendary places like Alstrom Point and Valley of the Gods. 

What’s at the top of your travel bucket list: Everything! We really want to drive the XT to Alaska some day soon. More short term, we’re thinking of a trip to the Kootenays in British Columbia next summer.
