FEATURES OF THE XT TONGUE
With our chassis re-design in 2021 we extended the length of the tongue by 1 foot. We did this for a few reasons.
With our chassis re-design in 2021 we extended the length of the tongue by 1 foot. We did this for a few reasons:
- The extra length allows for a 2” hitch receiver in front of the toolbox. This can carry up to 3 bikes with a 1UP rack.
- Alternatively, the extra length can accommodate a motorcycle on the tongue. It is rated up to 400 lbs.
- The additional clearance between the tow vehicle and the front of the trailer offers 90 degrees of articulation, great for handling tight switchbacks.
The improvements to the tongue also include an improved right height. This positively affects the breakover angle so you’re less likely to bottom out on undulating trails. Getting the tongue on a level plane with the tow vehicle improves the overall towing performance!
